This delicate botanical perfume offers a soft, grounding aroma inspired by the quiet beauty of the natural world. Earthy, woodsy and subtly sweet, Gaia unfolds slowly on the skin and becomes uniquely your own.

The Story

Gaia began many years ago as a personal blend of essential oils dropped into jojoba. I fell in love with the earthy, woodsy, sensual aroma, and everywhere I wore it people would ask what perfume I had on.

A few years later, as I began moving away from essential oils in my personal life and within the preparations I craft for Slow, I set out to recreate Gaia using only whole botanical infusions.

This was not an easy task.

After much experimentation, I discovered a way to gently draw the natural aromatic compounds from whole herbs, woods and resins ~ capturing the true scent of the plants themselves.

The result is a perfume that feels alive.

Gaia is now infused with ethically sourced palo santo and sandalwood bark, white sage leaves grown in my dear friend’s Northern New Mexico greenhouse, and organic Madagascar vanilla beans.

There are no essential oils and no synthetic fragrance in this perfume. The aroma is soft and intimate, designed to sit close to the skin rather than overwhelm the senses.

Its scent is delicate yet long-lasting, unfolding differently on each person who wears it.

A balance of earthy woods and gentle sweetness, Gaia feels both grounding and luminous ~ a perfume truly meant for every body.

WHY WHOLE PLANT PERFUME?

Most perfumes rely on essential oils or synthetic fragrance compounds.

Gaia is different.

Each aromatic note in this perfume comes from whole herbs, woods, and vanilla beans slowly infused into nourishing oils, allowing the natural scent of the plants to emerge in a softer, more intimate way.

The result is a fragrance that sits close to the skin and evolves uniquely with the wearer.

Even though ALL of Slow's creations are made with pure and organic ingredients, and it is highly unlikely that any reaction will occur, it is still wise to always begin with a small amount to test for irritation.

Each product is made in micro batches by me in our home-based apothecary and there may be some variation from batch to batch, but ratios remain the same.
